what about doing some thing along the lines of a scale looking tans? any one interested? i was thinking about and i would mount to the motor and to the split system that makes both drive shafts work at the same speed. i think this might make tubers look good. but hey let me know i have been planning to put this into my scorpion i have been designing for a while now. let me know what is up.

if you click on the photo to enlarge then right click on your mouse you can select save photo and just take it right off the page to your computer..
and the tcase would be awesome for the scorpion especially if you do the offset axle up front.

i plan on making it a off set style and i think that rear end even though it is centered it will also be offered as offset. there are many styles and ways but when testing takes place there are going to be many things to be questioned.

Sounds like a big undertaking. Machining the items and keeping them cost effective will be the biggest part.
ScubaDave...what industry do you work in?

i work in the wood working business but i have a bunch of training in molds and in steel and metal work. i also worked in a metal shop for a little doing the programing and all that good stuff. i would make it out of plastic. i am going to make the first one. it is going to be fun i have a plastic mold that i can use to make things like that.

why does a T-case have to be a big under taking. it is pretty simple if you ask me. a pass threw shaft with a gear on it, and then the front out put shaft running off that gear, gear it 1:1 no need for reduction there get the reduction in the tranny..
the hard part would be making a pretty case for it. anybody with a mill should be able to do that pretty easy as well.

Im looking for a good low profile Tranny for my NewBright Rubi build. I would keep that in mind when building a scale tranny we need it to be compact to fit under the body ;)

i am still working on a sketch and a way to make this work for a great price. so far i have a metal core with the gears and the drive points, and the exterior is going to have the plastic that is going to be molded around it and made to look like it. this makes it so you can paint it any color you want and also makes the cost a little cheaper. i will be talking with mike about it and see what we can come up with on it.

well there is more then one atlas and the only measurement I found was for the 4sp trans case
they are 17" long length would be intput to out put... my guess on width would be 22"/24" wide.

is there any interest in putting the planitary reduction box in a more scale appearing shell? the same internals. just make the outside look like a real tranny

that is some thing that is in the process..... i have been working on some thing like that but we are looking to see what we can do to improve the cost and the function of it first.....
