2 speed output shafts

hey guys quick question, why doesnt the 2 speed tranny have drilled out holes on the end of the output shafts to allow the punisher yoke grub screws to screw right through for a better connection between punisher and output shaft?
i noticed in some photos of the dig r2 they have drilled shafts but mine does not?

Good question. I actually have wondered the same and wished the grub screw hole was in them all. I dont know how many times my Twolf shaft has fallen off even with threadlock. Thats not an easy one to reconnect either :eek: I have to remove the tranny to get to it :eek:

can RC4WD send us some replacements drilled?:D i dont have specialist tools to drill steel , so it would be good to solve a problem.......cheers rob;)

Good job posting pics :) A;ways helps. I knew exactly what you were talking about ;)

I doubt they would do a replacement but, possibly an upgrade to the new releases should be in order. Axial trannys dont have this hole either so I wouldnt say its a design problem just us not getting the grub screw tight I would say ;), This would be great to see on all the trannys though.

A dremel tool can make short order in fixing this issue. You really just need to put an indent into the output. Make sure to use threadlock too.

Good pointing this out. I'm sure it can be updated in the next units.
