With this axle, you can unlock and lock the differential during driving. We expect to start shipping within a few weeks. More testing will be done next week.
Plastic version might come out during the summer.

I'm wondering if you could use a cable system similar to a motorcycle cable, in which a single servo could actuate both cables at the same time and therefore lock or unlock both diffs at once. Another advantage to a cable setup would be you could remote mount the servo for a more scale appearance. Just a thought.
VERY cool looking axles!

This could be done. There would need a post on the axle for the cable to mount too.
The servo arm could easily do this one function for both axles.

interestingly enogh, I just picked up a new Xtreme RC Cars magazine yesterday, and they had an updated ad for the Venom crawler in which they showed the lockable diff axles - and wouldn'tyou know it, they are actuated by a cable!
Probably be pretty easy to adapt the Venom cable system to these axles

Something like this is what I plan to use

With only 3 channels I will not be able to control the lockers independently but, thats fine by me .

1 servo with a dual horn mounted should work perfect for locking and unlocking both axles

I looked around for that Venom part with the cable and I could not find it
Found all but, the cable.

On this page you can see the cable attached to the axle:

I'm sure it's just a matter of time til they have all the part number listed

Hello everyone. My first post.
Any way when I build my new scale trail, I plan to use this axle on a SCX10, with a three speed gear box and a 3 way T-case (2h,4h and 4L) and when I shift in to 4L I plan to have it lock the diffs at that point. I hope I can find a way to do it.

is the gear ratio the same in this axle as the D40 or any of the other axles???
