I was thinking about going with the Novak Goat and brushless motor but I dont know if the R2 tranny will handle it. If I use the Goat, should I get the 18.5 or 21.5 motor? Any better suggestion on systems? Did Novak solve the freewheeling issues yet? Any advice would be great. Whatever system I go with, i would like to run a 5000 Zippy lipo. Any objestions there? Thanks.
Rob.

I ran the Goat in my R2D on my comp crawler without issue.

I had no freewheeling.

Drag brake worked good.

What is the C rating on the zippy 20-25? Should work fine.

Man, you are fast at responding, the c ratings are 25-35. Will the size be an issue in fitting it on the Twolf, and any mods needed to fit the goat motor in there? I am assuming I will need to move the tranny back a set of holes.

Thanks man! :)

You should be able to fit the Lipo up front without issue.

Yes you will have plenty of room in there for the motor .

Its a little shorter then the 7t I had in my Twolf so I cant see an issue.

My issue with the freewheeling is that I dont want to coast into a hard ditch, I would like to creep into the cracks and ditches.
And thats exactly what I am looking for in a system, "smooth". Thanks guys for the input.

Do you have a video up anywhere so I can check out the motor?

I bought a slightly used Goat system last night for $100.00. So, I figure if I like it, I will run it. If I dont like it, then I can sell it without any money lost. Now I have to figure out how to do an interior and still be able to get to the battery connections for charging.

the goat was 21.5 or 18.5 ?

Gee, a hundred dollars is a great deal.

I tend to believe a 21.5 is a better crawler.....
