I bought a set of these assuming I could remove the wheel hex and mount the wheel with the pin mount. It looks like the threaded end of the axle is not long enough to tighten down the nut all the way. Has anyone else had this problem? I sent a message to RC4WD directly, but also thought I'd ask here. I tried to search but nothing came up in this forum.

Just use a small spacer behind the nut. This will allow you to tighten the nut and keep the wheel on.

I'm not digging that setup at all. Had I known it would take a spacer behind the nut I would've gone a different route. Seems kind of mickey-mouse for a $100 set of wheels. I like the wheels, but I'd rather have something that is setup to work with the axles I have. I sent a message to see about the return policy as well.

Is that the case when used with RC4WD axles as well? T-Rex 60's or D35's?

Not at all...Axial Axles, I believe are the only ones that don't thread as far down.

You could get the Rocky Country Wheel Nut Covers (http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_info.php?products_id=602) and then space them. It will give the look of lockers...

Just need some confirmation that they will work with the 1.55.

Honestly, at this point, I'd rather send them back and get the new style stamped steel wheels. I've already sent a message with request for return policy. I have another crawler I'm working on, but I have no idea how long it will be until I finish it and I don't want to be sitting on wheels and tires I can't use forever.
