Is this normal with these axles? I am trying to get my truck ready for a comp, and I need info ASAP. I know about the paper mesh in the trans, just don't get why this thing SCREAMS?
Another thing...
I seem to have like NO power with it at all, can barely climb.

Yep, really really loud. From everything I have read it is the norm.
As for the no-power issue, that is what is discribed in the thread below. zoojunkie is talking about the crawler he built for me. The 1 to 1 tranny is pretty much useless in this crawler. I put a redution unit on the motor with much better results. However this meant mounting the trany backwards and barely clearing the front links with the motor since it sticks out farther.
I am hoping and praying they come out with a fix for this problem.
Cheers,
Josh

Wow, well I just bought a 3s Lipo setup, so I am hoping that this will fix it. If not, I guess I will be buying a reduction unit.

If you read my report, 3S isn't going to help you. Save yourself the headache and just buy an HPI Gear Reduction unit for $20, reverse the orientation of your transmission so that the motor is facing forward, mount the gear reduction unti and the motor, and finally install a set of 25:1 gears you can get from RC4WD for free as long as you can provide proof of purchase.
