I have a JR XS3 3 channel radio, will it work on a winch or do you have to have a 4 channel stick radio.

Is it a 3 position switch?
If not, the wireless version will work better.

It is just a push button switch. Do I have to have a 3 position switch?

Yes. It us best to have a 3 positions switch, otherwise the winch will continue to spool or unspool and may prematurely wear out the motor. The wireless controller us simple and really works
best with winch. I got a seperatw losi 1000mah 2s lipo to run it.
