    Default holmes torquemaster/ sidewinder sv3

Hello. I'm sure this answer has been posted. But I can't seem to find it.
I'm upgrading my g6 rtr with my castle sidewinder sv3(waterproof)which has been running the stock axial 27t just fine. but I've ordered a Holmes hobbies torquemaster expert 27t. Not here yet but can't wait to check out Holmes products.
Now is this a good combo? I'm running 2s currently. Should I go 3s for better controlling. And if I do do I need drive shafts?
