This is my first kit and I was looking for some advice I wanted to get some on a new shock setup trying to keep it scale but need some heavy duty shocks because it weighs a lot ... Any advice would be much appreciated ...
Gelande 2 axles and shocks

Just from my experience, the Gelande comes with 80mm shocks.I actually have ran into the same problem, which doesn't seem too bad.
I tried to go with 90mm Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Sport Shock, but seems to still bottom out,but gives a little more travel distance which I like.
I thought about and ordered the Superlift Dual Front Shock Mount for Trail Finder 2(Which are in the picture about under the rear tire)(But I was building a TF2 at the time and thought I could mount it on that as a backup plan),but the Gelande and the TF2 have two different frames and will not line up properly without a ton of work in order to mount the Dual Front Shock Mount on the Gelande.
From the picture on the RC4WD website on the Superlift Dual Front Shock Mount for Trail Finder 2

To be honest,my next thought was going with a shock with Heavy Duty Springs on the outside of the shock as well, like the King,or now RC4WD has the Rock Krawler RRD Emulsion Scale Dual Spring Shocks, which are silver and black,in which I was thinking about trying out.
