How much power can the 2 speed rc4wd transmission handle?
i was thinking of purchasing the castle sidewinder sct 3800kv
Or the castle mamba monster 2 combo.

I know more than one person running a Tekin Roc 412 or similar power in a TF2 so I don't see it being an issue. However, you will want a sensored setup, Castle doesn't make a sensored motor that I'm aware of. For a crawler, brushed or sensored brushless is the only way to go due to the cogging from a non-sensored motor, you'll just waste your money and not be happy with it.
