I knew when I purchased my tf2 kit that this will be a slow build for me. I have very little time to dedicate to sitting down and building this kit when the weekend comes around. So as of now I have both axles greased up a bit and shimmed. They were a little sloppy on the pinion shimming. Now the axles are ready to install eventually, hopefully this weekend but who knows. I have enjoyed building this kit so far. And my boy has helped a little here and there too. I'm far from being done. The chassis is almost there and still have the body to build and paint. Reading the build guide and reading the forums and your guys help makes this build much easier and always helpful.

I am right there with you. It took many nights to find the time to put the chassis and electronics together. I now have a fully functional truck but no body. I have all the parts and paints but the time conundrum has escaped me. Keep at it!

I feel ya on the Christmas timeframe. I was also waiting for the new Castle blue motors and a mamba x, for which I am glad I waited as they are very nice. Super smooth at any speed and the adjustable drag brake will be very useful for trailing/crawling adventures. Good luck and have fun!

Well its finally done, the chassis that is, lol. Its taking me a few months to build it with what little time I have. Pretty simple, not bad at all. The directions on the chassis is pretty forward and easy to follow. Next up is putting the tires together. Most likely be another whole month or more before I get those done. Really hard to do anything when you work 80 hours a week.

You can create an album on this forum under your profile, upload photos and use the BB Code to post the image in the thread.
That's the easiest way to share photos on this site since photobucket went off the deep end.
BTW, I just finished a RC4WD Trail Finder 2 Truck Kit. I used the RC4WD Camo Mojave 2 body on mine. It was a fun little build.
I'd share photos, but I have none of the complete truck. I'll post a build thread at some point... stay tuned.
Even though I built this kit in a few hours, and finished the body over a couple of days, I usually take several months to get a rig together. I understand how fun it is when you do finally find time to tinker.
Looking forward to the photos.<>< | Tennessee Scale Crawlers

A bit more progress on my truck. Got the grill painted and the bed coated with bed liner. Happy with the outcome so far. Can't wait till for more. Happy about the paint I choose too. Was a bit afraid about using it at first. Guess it wouldn't of mattered after the first scratch once it's up and running, lol.

Very nice, I love the color. You are ahead of me on the body but I have all my electronics installed. Maybe this weekend I will make some time to start on the body.
Thanks for the update; it looks great!

Finally getting a chance today to work on my build. Waiting for the glue to dry for a few more minutes on some parts. Ordered some upgrade parts as well from my lbs. Pretty sad I've got upgrades and the truck isn't even close to running yet but I've been itching to get his parts. Picked up theses clothes pins and small clamps to help old together stuff while the parts are glued together.
