1/5 Scale 2 Speed Transfer Case Prototype

Please note what you see here is an early prototype, we are still working on the over all look of it. The final version will be a little bit more scale looking.

And we also might add a shifter to it as well:

possibly 3 speed, there is a multi select function in it, so when one is forward and one is back, you have a 3rd gear ratio.... some thing not a lot of trans do, but it is still tight. lol.

im excited to grab one of these with a set of axles and build me a huge scaler. im currently in the process of selling alot of my 1.9 and 2.2 stuff and going towards bigger and better lol. i been doing alot of planing on inventor on using the baja 5b engine and diff as a tranny to link to the t-case here and to the axles. but im awaiting more info on rc4wd on thier 1/5th scale parts.

well most important when can i get this t-case lol i need it for size and mock up of my tube chassis. but im looking more for the gear ratio of the different gears. and i been wondering about 4 link suspension on the axle, how are they gonna get around that?

they are working on a system now... well the drawings were sent over. not sure when they are going to make them, there is not a big demand for them, but since there are a few people looking at them i think they might want to start on them some time soon. lol.... but the reduction in the killer case is not set in stone, they are still getting it all worked out and smooth running... it is going to be a good case when they finish it.... i think rc4wd will have more input on this... let me talk to him and see what is going on...

i been thinking about this t-case and it would be bad ass if one shift lever disconnected the front driveshaft and the other was from hi to lo gear. im thinking a 1:1 high and 4:1 low like the real ones. then you can play on the dirt at high speeds and still lock it in low and play on the trails
