    Hi,
Started a few months ago with this project. I had this idea since some time and finally I started to build it. At this moment I am testing with first engine/gear set up. I don't want a fast truck. I want it to be good in off road.
I want to use Rock Crushers with widelock 1.9, because of their truck look.
Used older parts just now to see where I'am ending or what I need to change.
Suspension is to stiff at this moment, but axle's do move perfect.

    chassis is from rc-laserparts
    axle : TLT
shocks : tamiya terra crusher (they need a softer spring)
    supension : JunFac
    Gear : RC4WD
    Transfer : RC4WD
    truckcabine : WEDICO
    lenght chassis 620 mm

Side look with in back my TF

    Killer transfer

Planetary gear box with LRP crawler 55t

    More pics will follow....

    great job!
did you think only one motor is enough to run the eight wheels? and if you put another one in front, you could get a dig
Anyway, that's a really good work! i' m enthousiast to see the next pics!
    Cheers,

    Hi Grym,
As I said, I am stil testing what the best set-up is.
Tried this weekend, my 2 speed transmission with 4:1 GRU from RC4WD.
I also tried my old transmission from my Bruiser = runs great but to fast !

And as mentioned, the chassis is own design, the top is from Wedico.
This truck has 2 12V Buhler motors with a pre gear box and a 3 speed gear box. Only thing is that it's all plastic wheels.... so not good.

I wanted to use the V2 gear box designed for two engines from RC4WD, but they don't make it anymore.
    So any suggestions are welcome.

    Hello,

I finally found the gearbox I was looking for :

    V2 HD Twin Motor Transmission

yes, brandnew like RC4WD sold them ! Big power from 2 motors.
So, I hope to receive it next week and then I can restart and adjust the chassis.
    Pics will follow.

    Hello,
Sorry about the long time that I took before this new update.
I had to wait a very long time, before some new parts came in. This due to the no fly zone in Europe in april.
    Anyway.
I got my V2 twin engine transmission.

So I had to cut my chassis to fit this transmission in. Than I needed a longer drive shaft. I then remounted the Killer Tranfer Transmission. At first it was horizontal, now it's vertical. I cutted out of Delrin two blocks and fitted the transmission between them.

Cabine can be flipped open :

Next step is to mount the parts on the chassis to place receiver, ESC, battery and other stuff in.
I still didn't decide what tyres and rims I am going to use.
2.2 is to big, 1.9 is better, but to be scale look I was thinking to go for the Rock Crushers....
Also my shock spring are not soft enough. Already changed the springs.

It's going to take some more time than I expected to finish this project.

Some more pics of axles and transmission :

do they move a lot the axles ?
yes, see pic but I'm still looking for a softer suspension.

    Killer transfer transmission
    Main shaft is RC4WD is item X0201 it's 237 mm long !

View of 2 front axles :
You can see the super long shaft going from V2 twin transmission to Killer transfer and a shaft X0344 between the axle.

Very impressive. I really like this.

Flashpoints might be a good tire on there as well.

    Hi,
    I just finished this project.
Added a crane. Painted it in yellow and made sure that everything works : Winch and arm are motorized.
So, this is now a 8x8 crawler wrecker.
Due to bad weather in Belgium no pics from outdoor. Sorry.
