  • Marlin Crawler Leaf Springs

Just got my Marlin late this week and as I was going through the manual as well as looking over the truck I noticed something very odd. The front leaf springs appear to have been assembled differently/incorrectly. One side w/3 leafs of different lengths and the other side has the main with two shorter leafs. Can someone contact me ASAP for replacement?

That sucks, but did you know that the performance is WAY better with only the main leaf spring in place!after you sort this out,do you have anything planned for it?

This is my first leaf spring truck after buying a TRX4 Bronco and then Defender. I’m not a huge fan of bashing up the trucks on the rocks, but do like trailing a great deal. Both the beach and backwoods kind of thing.

So I’m going to start off slow with this, but it will be more of a trail truck with as much protection for the chassis as I can come up with to keep it clean.

I’ve got a CCHand interior, A&M Garage skid/shackle kit, LED lights, and Warn winch to start with. Given the weight of the CCHand highly detailed interior I might want to keep more leaf spring than most folks appear to have, but haven’t got the interior in hand (shipping enroute) to sort that out.

I do have a set of these here: https://store.rc4wd.com/Soft-Steel-L...r-2_p_347.html as well as a set of 4 RED Super Soft that I could use until they get back to me. Probably not the place to have this discussion under Customer Support, so maybe I’ll post something in another forum section looking for ideas. Thanks!

Well,I've got a tf2 hilux that I'm building(gasguzzler's beater hilux,it's in the 1.55/1.9 section).I've done lots of suspension mods cause I have a custom made aluminum interirior,I was surprised at how well the truck sits with that much weight on only the main leaf spring. Also, you got some nice mods for this truck!I look forward to seeing your build posted,if you have any questions for your build feel free to ask me!for some added protection, check out rc4wd's z-s1192 hilux inner fender wells.
