I have not seen this happen to the TRex XVD's.

Did you have your End Points adjusted correctly? How did it happen?

The end points were correctly adjusted. It broke after some heavy binding which I did not see from where I was from. Then it went bang.

From my experience, I haven't had XVDs break on my Rigs. I set the slipper to work in a bad bind especially with a Cobalt Puller or Powerful Brushless set-up on 3S or 4S.

Do check, as sometimes the screws that secure the knuckles to the C's loosen. When this happens, the XVD can unseat, slightly twist, and then bind. The wheels won't roll smooth especially on a turn. Unfortunately, this can cause the XVDs to prematurely fail, as well.

            I was using an Rc4wd R2 Transmission.

Oh ok, will check regularly. Thanks.

OK, I understand that the R2 got no slipper. Good news is that the New R3 (on the TF2) got a real nice slipper.
