RX4 Transmitter / Receiver not binding

Anyone has experience binding the RC4WD RX4 transmitter with it´s (4 channel) receiver ?

For me it does not work..
Here is what I do:
- power up via B/C channel connection to ESC and Battery
- Push bind button on receiver (red light flashes quicker)
- Power up transmitter

...nothing happens ? any ideas to solve this are welcome
